A long time ago an African King had his childhood friend who would always say 'this is good', no matter how bad the situation was he would just say 'this is good'.
The King and his friend were so close that the friend became the King's personal assistant.
So one day when the King and his friend were out hunting the King's friend made a mistake when he was trying to fix his bow and arrow and shot the King on the hand ,the King lost his thumb. Noticing his mistake the King's friend said, as usual 'this is good' but the King fumed with anger because there was nothing good about him loosing his thumb, so he sent his childhood friend to jail. Before going to jail the friend said 'this is good' and the King added more years to the friend's sentence.
Years passed, the King continued with his hunting expeditions while the friend was rotting in jail until one day the King and his hunting party were captured by a group of cannibals. All the King's followers to the hunting spree were killed but when the time to kill the king came they noticed that he wasn't whole, he didn't have a thumb and it was the cannibal's belief that they don't eat an already eaten human, so the King was set free.
Realizing how his friend's mistake had saved his life he released him from jail and told him the whole story and how sorry he was to have sent his childhood friend to jail, the friend said in reply 'this is good', 'why' said the King and the friend smiled and said, 'i would have been with you when the cannibals killed your hunting party'
The moral.
Not every unfortunate event in our lives is meant to let us down, some events, bad events are meant to elevate us in due time.
